‘Downtown Shopping Days’ Concerts will Liven Nicosia Downtown
Nicosia Turkish Municipality Orchestra will be giving a series of street concerts within the “Downtown Shopping Days” Event which will be held between 14 -26 September 2013 with the partnership of EU funded SECOND Project and the Nicosia Turkish Municipality. The Shopping Days Event is an activity of the Nicosia Downtown Initiative which aims for Nicosia Old Walled City to become a sustainable touristic shopping area branded through its unique historical and cultural heritage and a vibrant focal point frequented by both locals and foreign tourists.
The concerts will be held between 10:30-12:30 with the following schedule:
“14 September Saturday (Bandabulya), 17 September Tuesday (Lefke Hanı), 19 September Thursday(Kadınlar Pazarı Meydanı), 21 September Saturday (Bandabulya), 24 September Tuesday(Lefke Hanı), 26 September Thursday (Kadınlar Pazarı Meydanı)”.
'Clean Kitchen' Training Programme for Nicosia Downtown Restaurants and Cafes
The 'Clean Kitchen' Training Programme targeted for Nicosia Downtown restaurants and cafes will be held within the context of the Nicosia Downtown Initiative, which envisions the area to become a sustainable touristic shopping area. The trainings will last two days and all trainees will receive consultancy at their premises.

Autumn Will Be Exciting With Downtown Jazz Festival
Naci Talat Foundation will be organising the "Nicosia Old Town Classical, Jazz and World Music Festival" between 31 August - 5 November 2013 in Downtown Nicosia. The festival will be held at the Foundation’s Peace and Friendship House, with the participation of 30 local and international bands.
